About us
Proclaiming the good news of Jesus through music, drama, and dance
Knoxville Christian Arts Ministries is a faith-based, multi-generational, community-wide outreach ministry of choral and instrumental musicians, handbell ringers, actors, dancers, and more who desire to use their artistic gifts to proclaim the gospel of Christ beyond the church's walls.
We have over 120 volunteer members, ages 18 – 90, from 40 congregations in the Knoxville area. Our primary ministry is to prison inmates throughout Tennessee.
What We Do
KnoxCAM is using the incredible power and beauty of the performing arts to share the gospel outside the church's walls.
KnoxCAM concerts are similar to musical theater productions. We write original, 40-minute dramas, fully integrated with original music and dance, based on real-life events or imaginative retellings of Bible stories.
One simple message runs through all our concerts: No matter what has happened in your past, what you have done, or what you have been, God loves you and wants you to be His child. There is always a second chance through salvation in Jesus.
Is KnoxCAM Right for Me?
KnoxCAM volunteers are dedicated! They generously give a significant amount of time and heart to the ministry, which is a unique and meaningful way of sharing the gospel of Christ. Please prayerfully consider the questions below as you consider joining us.
Ask yourself the following questions:
-
Am I an experienced choral singer, instrumentalist, actor, dancer, or handbell ringer?
-
Am I excited about the possibilities of proclaiming the gospel of Christ through the performing arts?
-
But above all, have you sought God's guidance through prayer about the possibility of joining KnoxCAM? Do you feel a calling to learn more about us?
